Childrens Portraits: Our Children, Our Future with Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists

The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists (CSOPA) joined with Stepping Stones Museum for Children (SSMC), and Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum as part of a unique portrait event. Twenty one artists from the CSOPA set up displays of their art work at SSMC to meet and be matched with twenty one member children of the children’s museum. The portrait artists have volunteered their time and expertise to create a portrait for each of these children. An opening reception and exhibit displaying the final works will be held at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum on May 9, 2015. While purchase of the portrait is not required, a portion of all sales will benefit all three organizations.
