Still Life Paintings: This &That

 

 As an artist I have learned more when painting still life paintings than from any other type of painting.  Having control over all of the elements of a painting is a luxury. After setting up the still life in the studio, I am free to experiment with composition or technique and can paint anytime I feel inspired. Seeing unique color and beauty in simple items interests me. I am also moved by pieces that have a family history or symbolic meanings. Still life paintings can be commissioned as an oil or pastel painting with items that have special meaning to you.
